OpenSWAP is a remotelly controlled / fully Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) for custom application, geophysical surveys, video inspection or what you want! It's light-weight, low-cost, fully customizable and compatible with most common GPS and sensors.
OpenSWAP is equipped by open source platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) with autonomous navigation system using double GPS and integrated inertial sensors.
It's a small plastic (LLDPE) catamaran with 4 electric brushless motors, modular and easy to place in water. The versatility of the alluminium frame profiles allows simple interfacing with any tool you like (e.g. side scan sonar, multi-parametric probes, sub-bottom profiler, multi-beam echo sounder), commercial and non-commercial sensors, offering the possibility to expand the onboard equipment (up to 40kg payload).
Our staff is skilled on bathymetric and geophysical surveys in shallow water environments, and in particular: - Coastal areas (protected marine areas, sandy shores, coastal protection barriers) - Artificial basins (harbours, dams, artificial canals) - Inland waters (lakes, rivers, lagoons).
